47th Travel Exhibition

We participated in the 47th Travel+ Exhibition, which took place between February 20–23 at the HUNGEXPO Budapest Congress and Exhibition Center. The event attracted over 23,000 visitors.

At the Székelyföld (Szeklerland) stand – in collaboration with the tourism associations of Covasna and Mureș counties – we once again showcased the tourism offer of Harghita County. Visitors had access to Visit Harghita promotional materials as well as the Szekler Kitchen & Garden magazine. Our discussions focused on summer programs, gastronomic festivals, and events, as Harghita County will hold the title of European Region of Gastronomy in 2027. In this context, we also promoted local gastronomic points and the region's culinary specialties.

At our stand, we exhibited two new models from Mini Transylvania Park: Deva's Fortress and the Ugron Castle in Filiaș/Fiatfalva. This provided visitors with a small taste of Transylvania's architectural heritage. Alongside us were representatives of Mini Transylvania Park, who provided detailed information about the park’s other models, available programs, and the special recommendations of the restaurant located within the park.

Visitors received detailed information on active recreational opportunities, particularly hiking, cycling tours, and rural accommodations. There was a strong interest in caravan camping, rural tourism, as well as individual and group travel. Travel agencies were introduced to lesser-known but unique tourist attractions that can complement their existing offerings. Tour guides were especially interested in ski resorts and hiking trails.

The feedback received confirms that the tourism offer of Szeklerland remains highly popular, and by focusing on sustainable and innovative tourism, the region can attract even more visitors in the future.
