Our colleagues represented the association at the transnational project meeting of the SURE to Tourism Erasmus+ project (Sustainability as a Recovery Tool for Small Tourism Businesses: Environmental & Social Responsibility in Tourism) in Valencia (Spain) between 29-30 September.
The aim of the project is to support tools to promote the green recovery of the hospitality industry, taking into account both economic and environmental aspects, creating an opportunity for the recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic, through the development of new principles and tools to support the green recovery.
The second press release of our SURE to Tourism Erasmus+ project has been published, giving a brief summary of the activities so far.
Through focus group interviews, the partners assessed the knowledge of tourism professionals in each participating country on the concepts of sustainable tourism and green practices and whether they apply them in their activities. They also sought answers to the question of how the planned project results could help the target group's development. On this basis, country analyses were carried out and the partners started to prepare digital skills maps, which are essential to identify the range of skills to be acquired before developing training materials.
The project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.
